Recently, the rock band AC / DC won the top spot of Billboard 200 with their hit album ‘Power Up’.

AC / DC is an Australian hard rock band, formed in 1973 by the Young brothers, Malcolm Young and Angus Young. They continued to be part of the group until Malcolm’s health got worse, and left the group in 2014. Recently, the group made an impressive comeback with their hit album namely “Power Up!

According to Nielsen Music / MRC Data, the album “Power Up” brought AC / DC 117,000  equivalent album units after its first week of release in the US market (from No.13 to No.19) in which, the net album sales accounted for the majority with the sales reaching 111,000 units.

AC/DC previously hit No. 1 with “Black Ice” (2008) and “For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)” (1981). For the time being, “Power Up” is the rock music album with the biggest weekly sales in 2020.

Released on November 13, “Power Up” is AC / DC’s 17th studio album and its first since 2014’s “Rock or Bust” and the death of co-founder and guitarist Malcolm Young in 2017. The product quickly received an extremely positive response from critics with a score of 79/100. Hopefully the music industry will receive more rock blockbusters like this in the upcoming time.
